Overview

The Tasks tab provides the ability to manage asset tasks.

Available operations:

  • View tasks linked to the asset
    • Columns available
      • Name – Name of the task
      • Task Type – Type of the task
      • Wave – Wave the task was assigned to
      • Status – Status of the task (Not Started, In Progress, Complete, Overdue, Cancelled, Failed, On Hold)
      • Start Goal – Estimated start date and time of the task
      • End Goal – Estimated end date and time of the wave task
      • Start Actual – Actual start date and time of the task (empty until the task is started)
      • End Actual – Actual end date and time of the task (empty until the task is completed)
      • Assigned To – ReadyWorks user the task is assigned to
      • Completed By – ReadyWorks user the task was completed by
      • Actions (% Done) – Total number of task actions complete divided by total number of task actions (also shown as a percentage)
      • T-Comm Links – Total number of T-Comm templates linked to the task
      • Asset Links – Number of assets linked to the task
  • View the properties of tasks by clicking the hyperlink of the Name field
  • Link tasks to the asset
  • Unlink tasks from the asset by selecting a task (row) and clicking the Unlink Task button on the toolbar
  • You can also change the number of visible rows in the table, set column visibility, export to CSV or Excel, refresh the table and search for text

From the Tasks tab, you can link tasks to the asset. To link:

  1. Click the Link Tasks button to bring up the Link Tasks to Asset dialog
  2. Select tasks from the Link Tasks drop down and then click the Link button. Click the Close button to cancel the operation.

    1. The link function is only available to users in the Administrator and Regular User security groups

From the Tasks tab, you can unlink tasks from the asset. To unlink:

  1. Select a task (row) to unlink. Only one task can be unlinked at a time.
  2. Click the Unlink Task button on the toolbar

    1. The unlink button is grayed out unless a task (row) is selected

    2. The unlink function is only available to users in the Administrator and Regular User security groups
  3. Click the Unlink button to confirm the unlink operation. Click the Cancel button to cancel the operation.
