Copy Asset

From the Assets page, you can copy assets.  To copy:

1. Select an asset (row) to copy
   
2. Click the Copy Asset button on the toolbar
   
   1. The copy button is grayed out unless an asset (row) is selected
      
      
   2. The copy function is only available to users in the Administrator and Regular User security groups
3. Enter the properties of the copied asset in the Create Asset Type from Asset dialog
   
   1. Name – Name of the asset (required)
   2. Asset Specific Columns – Columns specific to the asset type
      NOTE: Lookups with a large number of items will be converted from a normal drop down menu to a dialog.
   3. Click the icon to create a new lookup value in a list or asset data column
4. Click the Create button when finished to create the asset. You will be directed back to the Assets page. Click the Close button to cancel the operation.
