Tasks

The Tasks tab provides the ability to manage migration tasks.

Available operations:

  • Create new tasks by clicking on the New Task button
  • View a list of tasks in ReadyWorks
    • Columns available
      • Id (hidden by default) – System Id of the task (used for Workflow Import updates to existing tasks – to match task to be updated)
      • Name – Name of the task
      • Description (hidden by default) – Description of the task
      • Task Type – Type the task was assigned (e.g. deployment, training, etc.)
        • Filter by type
      • Wave – Wave the task was assigned to
        • Filter by wave
      • Priority – Priority of the task (e.g. Low, Medium, High, Critical)
        • Filter by priority (multiselect)
      • Status – Status of the task (Not Started, In Progress, Complete, Overdue, Cancelled, Failed, On Hold)
        • Filter by Undefined, Cancelled, Complete, Failed, In Progress, Not Started, On Hold, Overdue (multiselect)
      • Start Goal – Estimated start date and time of the task
      • End Goal – Estimated end date and time of the wave task
      • Start Actual – Actual start date and time of the task (empty until the task is started)
      • End Actual – Actual end date and time of the task (empty until the task is completed)
      • Assigned To – ReadyWorks user the task was assigned to
        • Filter by assigned to
      • Completed By – ReadyWorks user the task was completed by
        • Filter by completed by
      • Actions (% Done) – Total number of task actions complete divided by total number of task actions (also shown as a percentage)
        • Filter by common values
      • T-Comm Links – Total number of T-Comm templates linked to the task
        • Filter by 0 or greater than 0
      • Asset – Names of the assets linked to the task
  • View the properties of tasks by clicking the hyperlink of the Name field
  • Assign tasks by selecting a task (row) and clicking the Assign Task button on the toolbar
  • Start tasks by selecting a task (row) and clicking the Start Task button on the toolbar
  • Complete tasks by selecting a task (row) and clicking the Complete Task button on the toolbar
  • Cancel tasks by selecting a task (row) and clicking the Cancel Task button on the toolbar
  • Fail tasks by selecting a task (row) and clicking the Fail Task button on the toolbar
  • Pause tasks by selecting a task (row) and clicking the Pause Task button on the toolbar
  • Delete tasks by selecting one or more tasks (rows) and clicking the Delete Task button on the toolbar
    • Select all tasks (rows) on the page by clicking the Select All button on the toolbar
  • You can also change the number of visible rows in the table, view full screen, set column visibility, export to CSV or Excel, refresh the table and search for text
