Mapping Variables

The Mapping Variables tab provides the ability to manage data mapping variables. Mapping variables are utilized to abstract database and table names from a mapping query so they can be managed in a central place.

Available operations:

  • Create new mapping variables by clicking on the New Variable button
  • View a list of variables
    • Columns available
      • Id (hidden by default) – System Id of the mapping variable
      • Name – Name of the mapping variable
      • Value – Value of the mapping variable
      • Description – Description of the mapping variable
      • Date Created – Date the mapping variable was created
  • Copy mapping variables by selecting a variable (row) and clicking the Copy Variable button on the toolbar
  • Edit mapping variables by selecting a variable (row) and clicking the Edit Variable button on the toolbar
  • Edit mapping variables in bulk by clicking the Bulk Edit button on the toolbar
  • Delete mapping variables by selecting a variable (row) and clicking the Delete Variable button on the toolbar
  • You can also change the number of visible rows in the table, export to CSV or Excel, refresh the table, and search for text
