Edit Asset Type Group

From the Asset Type Groups tab, you can edit asset type groups. To edit:

1. Select an asset type group (row) to edit
   
2. Click the Edit Asset Type Group button on the toolbar
   
   1. The edit button is grayed out unless an asset type group (row) is selected
      
      
   2. The edit function is only available to users in the Administrator security group
3. Update the properties of the asset type group
   
   1. Name – Name for the asset type group (required)
      NOTE:  The name for the List and Status asset type groups cannot be changed.
   2. Icon Class – Select a navigation menu icon for the asset type group from the icon library
   3. Icon Color – Select a color for the icon on the navigation menu
   4. Parent Group – Select the parent group of the asset type group
   5. Menu Order – Select the position of the asset type group on the navigation menu
   6. Menu Show – Choose if the asset type group will display or be hidden on the navigation menu
   7. Asset Types – Select asset types from the dropdown to assign to the asset type group
4. Click the Update button when finished to update the asset type group. You will be redirected back to the Asset Type Groups tab. Click the Close button to cancel the operation.
