Copy Record

From the Primary Data page, you can copy data records. To copy:

  1. Select a record (row) to copy
  2. Click the Copy Record button on the toolbar

    1. The copy button is grayed out unless a record (row) is selected

    2. The copy function is only available to users in the Administrator and Regular User security groups
  3. Enter the properties of the copied data record in the Create Data Type from Record dialog

    1. Name – Name of the data record (required)
      NOTE: The Name field of a data record cannot contain the string ” | “.
    2. Data Type Specific Columns – Columns specific to the data type
      NOTE: Lookups with a large number of items will be converted from a normal drop down menu to a dialog.
    3. Click the icon to create a new value in a lookup data column
  4. Click the Create button when finished to create the data record. You will be redirected back to the Primary Data page. Click the Close button to cancel the operation.
